The ANOC General Assembly delivers significant economic, media and social impact for the host city.
An independent report conducted by Quantum Consultancy found that the XXVII ANOC General Assembly, in Cascais, Portugal generated an estimated €2.47 million in direct economic impact. More than 4,500 overnight stays were recorded in the Cascais and Lisbon region, with 82% of delegates travelling from abroad. This not only boosted the local economy but also reinforced Cascais’s reputation as a premier international destination for major events.
The report also showed that the event enjoyed wide-reaching global media exposure, with 42 hours of broadcast across multiple platforms. This coverage reached an audience of 103 million people and generated an estimated media value of €5.6 million.
ANOC’s social media channels also saw impressive results, engaging 411,000 people and welcoming 1,274 new followers during the event period.
