Dr. Robin Mitchell
ANOC PresidentDear Friends,
We are greatly looking forward to welcoming you to Hong Kong, China, for the ANOC General Assembly.
As we all know, the ANOC General Assembly represents a unique opportunity to bring together the world’s National Olympic Committees, IOC, International Federations and all Olympic stakeholders through our shared love of sport and our common commitment to the Olympic ideals.
The General Assembly provides an invaluable forum for us to exchange ideas, discuss the common challenges we face, and agree on collective plans of action that will strengthen our NOC family and broader Olympic Movement.
Since we last convened two years ago, the Olympic Movement has witnessed significant changes, most notably with the election of our new IOC President, Kirsty Coventry. This General Assembly therefore takes on special significance as an opportunity for the NOC family to take stock of where we stand, evaluate the opportunities that lie before us, and chart the course for our future together.
I am confident that our time in Hong Kong, China, will be both productive and inspiring, and I look forward to meeting you there.
